In late May we visited my good friend Albert, who’s living in Bratislava, Slovakia. We spent some days visiting the city and one day visiting Vienna, which is very close to Bratislava.
We took an airplane from Girona to Bratislava airport. The trip took only took 2 hours.
On the same day we arrived we took a walk near the Danube River with Albert.
Bratislava, like Vienna or Budapest, is crossed by the Danube River.
On the second day we took the train and we went to Vienna, which is only 55km from Bratislava. I didn’t know the two cities are among the closest capital cities in the world. As we didn’t have much time, we spent the day walking around the touristic parts of the city and visiting some museums.
The Cathedral of Vienna.
Next day we took a ship to visit Devín Castle, some ruins of a fort at the confluence of the Danube and Morava rivers.
Views from the top of the Castle.
On the nexts two days we visited Bratislava.
Sad Janka Kráľa Park.
Slavín memorial monument.
Beautiful park in the heart of the city.
This is an outdoor church. I’ve never had seen one like this.
Views of Bratislava’s Castle.
