This week I have some photos that were taken in some cenotes in Yucatán, south Mexico. A cenote is a natural pit, or sinkhole, resulting from the collapse of limestone bedrock that exposes groundwater underneath very common in Yucatán Peninsula.
Some of them are available to visit and swim. They have the cleanest water you can imagine, crystalline and warm. It was such a wonderful experience to swim there.
I took some photos while we were driving from one to another cenote, and some photos of the cenotes but i couldn’t capture the magic one feel in those places.
